Neil read theology at Leeds University and subsequently engaged in post- graduate work and ministerial training at Richmond College, University of London. Neil’s ministry, which began in 1970, has taken him to many parts of the country, including Bristol, West Yorkshire (3 times), Stockport, London and, since 2005, Durham. He is married to Julie and has two children, Thomas and Emily, and two grandchildren, Grace and Rosa.
